La biomécanique du vol explores the subtle dynamic between apparent stillness and contained energy. Inspired by the hovering flight of the hummingbird, this work for large ensemble captures the duality between a seemingly peaceful stasis and the underlying agitation that animates it.

Through contrasting writing, the piece plays with the alternation between incisive sonic gestures and suspended textures, crystallizing a balance in perpetual negotiation. Just as in nature, where opposing forces harmonize to create the illusion of calm, the music oscillates between internal tension and fleeting moments of release, between fixed structures and unpredictable bursts.

Timbres overlap and intertwine, shaping a sonic mechanism in which each impulse seems ready to be unleashed, while remaining held in a delicate suspension. An immersion into a space where silence and exaltation coexist, where music becomes the reflection of an imperceptible motion, vibrating just beneath the surface.
