"Vers les parasites d'une matière rudimentaire" presents the accordion as a crystalline material, serving as the central object of this composition. The two percussionists, through the use of multiple small percussion instruments, explore a wide range of different timbres, from harmonic to inharmonic and from pitch to noise. The instruments, spatially distributed on different planes (precise pitch instruments in the background and noise instruments in the foreground), attempt to create an effect of perspective and masking over the percussion sounds. This work, almost electroacoustic, seeks to create a sensation of distortion and transformation of the accordion's timbre, with effects ranging from timbral enrichment when the percussionists are at the back of the stage to a more pronounced interference as the percussionists move forward on the stage.
